The Collingwood Way award

  • Celebrating success

Every child in Year 4, 5 and 6 participates on our own unique award programme for personal development. The Collingwood Way Award is a means to inspire and challenge our pupils to achieve new skills in our six C’s:

    • Character
    • Creativity
    • Collaboration
    • Critical thinking
    • Citizenship
    • Communication

At Collingwood, we have always recognised that the school experience is more than just academic achievement in the three R’s, and we pride ourselves in our ability to nurture the individual and develop our pupils’ independence, resilience and sense of responsibility. The Collingwood Way Award goes that step further in preparing our pupils for a life after Collingwood – skills that will equip them for a life of new learning and new challenges; skills for life in the 21st century.

Pupils exhibit strong decision-making skills and they recognise the importance of making the right choices, guided by their awareness of the needs of the wider world.
